At the Hostalric tourist office we offer tailor-made guided tours (day and time to be agreed) for organised groups such as travel agencies, friends and family, companies, associations, etc. We have accredited guides who offer tours of the castle and/or medieval grounds in five different languages (Catalan, Spanish, English, French and German).
The guided tour of the castle is designed to show visitors around the old, Modern Age military fortification that presides over the town. During the tour you will visit the Fortalesa Interpretation Centre, which consists of two audiovisual spaces and an interactive model that helps our guides to explain the history of this monument which was declared a Cultural Site of National Interest. The guided tour also includes access to spaces such as the Cavaller and the Xemeneia room, only accessible with a guide, which are the spaces most closely linked to the old medieval castle of the Viscounts of Cabrera.
The guided tour of the medieval grounds will allow you to discover the heritage of the Viscounty of Cabrera. Our guides will show you iconic spaces such as the spectacular 600-metre wall, the Barcelona gate and the 10 medieval towers. The most outstanding of these towers is the Frares Tower, which has a fantastic viewpoint at the top and an internal lift, making it accessible to all groups.
The guided tours can be complemented with gastronomic tastings of local products, held in the rooms of the tourist office.
